A very satisfying stay

The place is a bit off the main attractions of Rome, but one can reach the Vatican in 20 minutes walk or by public transport. The staff is helpful and replies promptly to emails and calls. The room was very clean and quiet. The price we paid was very competitive and reasonable for the quality. There's plenty of lovely bars and restaurants around the place at Circonvallazione Clodia.

On April 2017, we stayed at the Circonvallazione Clodia for two nights, our original reservation was for 3 nights but due to flights delays our plans got changed. Special thanks to Veronica whom was prompt answering e-mails and tried to accommodate our second part of the trip stayed even contacting colleagues for us. This location has a downtown feeling. The breakfast place is convenient since is on the way to the bus station. Very easy to get around using local transportation. The rooms are as shown on the pictures. They do your bed and refresh the room everyday just like a regular hotel. Great value for the money.

Stayed here in September 2016 with my wife for 2 nights. Nicely located within a 15 minutes of the Metro, meaning that you can be at the major attractions fairly quickly but that you also get peace at the end of the day. Staff were kind and courteous, the bed large and comfortable, the bathroom immaculately presented, and kept remarkably clean. The breakfast (served at a nearby cafe on presentation of a voucher) was simple but adequate, and we were given a plentiful supply of Espresso! Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to explore the city.

We recently took a four day(3 night) trip to Rome and stayed at the Residenza Doro. We pre-booked a taxi from the airport and there was no problem- we were met with the usual card held aloft so we got to the apartment without any major hassles.It's a little way away from the main sites and quite a way from the airport, but Robin and his staff were very helpful in pointing us in the right directions for everything. It's easy to take a 92 bus down towards St Peters Basilica and the Vatican area and the bus also stops at a Metro stop So,with a map of the metro system you can go anywhere, although for our first trip to St Peters Square to collect our "Omnia" travel passes, which gave us free bus and underground trips anywhere and fast track entrance to a couple of the busiest sites, we walked there. Be prepared to walk a lot anyway. We walked 11 miles on our first day and 12 miles on our second day,even with free travel but well worth it !. Rome is a wonderful city with so much to see. There is a very handy supermarket within 100 metres and a couple of nice little restaurants within easy walking distance. One directly underneath Residenza Doro will give you a discount if you mention you are staying upstairs. Also a great ( and very reasonable) cafe/coffee shop for a morning coffee and " cornetto") just round the corner. Our room was quite acceptable, nice and quiet and comfortable although take a torch with you in case the lights are a little dim for you. All in all for a three day trip we managed to see all the major sites and would highly recommend the Residenza Doro. Thanks again to Robin and the staff.

This is a nice space that serves a typical Italian breakfast of a bagged croissant with jellys and honey, some kind of cracker, yogurt and peach juice faithfully everyday. The room is well kept and has a safe, a fridge and closet space with a spacious shower but the bed itself is very hard. The bed and breakfast has a couple of nice pizzerias in the area and very good restaurant next to it. It is a 30 minute walk to Vatican City with a bunch of places to eat gelato and all other food along the way but the area closes down early and is not near the busy center of Rome.
